What Is An Allergy?
An allergy is an undesirable immune reaction to substances that are harmless to most of the population. These substances are called allergens and include things like grass, dust, animal dander, certain food, and medication.
Allergic reactions vary widely from relatively mild and harmless, to life-threatening and can be extremely debilitating.
The most critical clinical intervention in allergic conditions is to establish a correct diagnosis. This is the only way you can effectively manage the condition.
